ABOUT ERIN

My family and I have proudly called Shawnee home for the past 11 years. My husband, Matt, is a nurse and a 21-year Air Force veteran, and together we’re raising our three daughters, all of whom attend schools in the Shawnee Mission School District.

I grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas, and graduated from the University of Kansas in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering. In 2014, I earned my Professional Engineer license in Civil Engineering, an achievement that reflects my dedication to technical excellence and problem-solving. For the past 18 years, I’ve worked in the construction industry, much of it delivering complex federal projects. Today, I serve as a Senior Project Manager at JE Dunn Construction, leading multi-million-dollar projects from planning through completion.

Service has been a throughline in my life. I’ve served in leadership roles with the Junior League in both Wichita Falls and Kansas City, planning large-scale fundraising events and partnering with organizations like Happy Bottoms, Samuel Rodgers, Avenue of Life, and Miracle Field to meet critical community needs. At JE Dunn, I serve on the executive committee of Moment Connection, our women’s employee resource group, helping create programming that supports and connects colleagues. I’ve also volunteered on PTAs and served in multiple roles with the Kansas City Football and Cheerleading Club, including Cheer Board Vice-Chair and Executive Board Member-at-Large. I’ve been a Girl Scout cookie mom, a cheer coach, and even a state senate campaign treasurer—because serving a community takes many forms, big and small.

I’m running for Shawnee City Council because I believe in strengthening our infrastructure, supporting smart and balanced growth, and keeping our neighborhoods vibrant and welcoming. My engineering background gives me a unique perspective on city planning and investment, and my years of hands-on service have taught me how to listen, collaborate, and get things done.
